1 Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Nordic Riser AB website, the Member Portal (portal.nordicriser.com), and any software product we license to you, including NR-BOS and Global Reach (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account, redeeming a license code, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company.

2 Services Covered

This website provides information about Nordic Riser AB and our consulting, technology, and product offerings.

The Member Portal is an authenticated client area for document exchange, case tracking, secure messaging, and payment records, related to our consulting engagements.

NR-BOS is project delivery, field operations, and client reporting software, licensed to companies for their own internal and client-facing use.

Global Reach is live collaboration software with shared whiteboards and real-time translated chat, licensed on a subscription basis.

3 Accounts & Eligibility

The Services are directed at adults acting in a professional or business capacity. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at info@nordicriser.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

4 Acceptable Use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data that isn't yours
  • Upload malicious code, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any software product, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Services to a third party outside the scope of your own license or account
  • Use the Services to store or transmit content you don't have the right to share, or that infringes another party's rights

We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of this section — see Section 11.

5 Your Data & Content

You retain ownership of the data and content you or your organisation submit through the Services — your documents, messages, project records, worksite photographs, task data, and everything else you put in. We do not claim ownership of it, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond delivering the Services to you, as described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, your Data Processing Agreement.

You are responsible for having the right to submit any content you upload, including any necessary consents from third parties whose personal data it might contain (for example, an employee named in a field report).

6 Intellectual Property

Nordic Riser AB owns all intellectual property rights in the Services themselves — the website, the Member Portal, and the NR-BOS and Global Reach software, including their design, code, and functionality. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you.

Subject to these Terms and, for NR-BOS, Section 8 below, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your own internal business purposes for as long as your account or license is active.

7 Availability & Support

We make reasonable commercial efforts to keep the Services available and to fix problems promptly, but we do not currently offer a formal uptime guarantee or a paid Service Level Agreement — we'd rather tell you that plainly than commit to a number we're not staffed to hold ourselves to.

Planned maintenance is carried out with advance notice where practical. Support is provided on a best-effort basis during our office hours, Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET, rather than as a 24/7 or guaranteed-response-time service.

8 NR-BOS Licensing

NR-BOS is licensed by single-use redemption code, not by subscription billing inside the product. This section describes exactly how that works, matched to how the licensing system actually behaves:

8.1 Codes Are Single-Use and Non-Transferable

Each license code can be redeemed exactly once. Once redeemed, it is permanently bound to the redeeming company and cannot be reassigned, resold, or transferred to a different company or account.

8.2 Redemption Extends Your Period

Redeeming a code adds its duration to your current license period. If your existing period hasn't expired yet, the new period is added on top of it rather than replacing it; if it has expired, the new period starts from the moment of redemption.

8.3 No Automatic Renewal

A license period ends on its scheduled date. Nothing renews automatically — access is paused until a new code is redeemed. There is no recurring billing associated with NR-BOS licensing.

8.4 No Refunds on a Redeemed Code

Once a code has been redeemed, that redemption is final. We do not offer refunds on a redeemed license code, and redemption does not go through a payment processor capable of a reversal — treat redemption as a deliberate, final action.

8.5 Revocation

We can revoke a license code to prevent it from ever being redeemed — this matters if a code is leaked, issued in error, or no longer should be honoured. Revoking a code that has already been redeemed prevents that specific code from being used again, but does not claw back or suspend the access already granted from that earlier redemption. We are stating this precisely because it's a real limitation, not a stylistic choice: at present, we do not have a separate mechanism to suspend a company's already-granted NR-BOS access. If we need to end an active customer's access for cause, we will contact them directly to arrange it rather than relying on a revocation mechanism that isn't built for that.

8.6 Trial Codes

Certain codes are issued as 3-day trial codes. A company may redeem one trial code, ever — a company that has already redeemed a paid (monthly or annual) code is not eligible for a trial code, and a company that has already used a trial code cannot use a second one.

9 Fees & Payment

License codes for NR-BOS are issued by Nordic Riser AB following a separate purchase or agreement; the redemption process itself does not collect or process card payment data.

For consulting engagements and Member Portal payment records, invoices are issued and reviewed manually rather than through an automated payment gateway, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10 Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nordic Riser AB will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Services.

Our total liability arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services, for any single claim, will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the event.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11 Term & Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the Services. You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, including the Acceptable Use section, particularly where the breach creates a security or legal risk to us or to other users.

On termination, your right to use the Services ends. We will retain your data for the periods described in our Privacy Policy, and will delete or return it as described there or, where one applies, in your Data Processing Agreement.

12 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services will be submitted to the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the court of first instance.

13 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the Services or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by:

  • Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page
  • Where appropriate, notifying active clients by email
  • Posting a notice on our website

Your continued use of the Services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
